Shear Force Diagram of a Cantilver Beam

In the diagram to the right is an awning that acts like a cantilever beam. we have previously calculated the reaction forces in this question: Reaction Forces in a Cantilever Beam

Now we will continue our analysis on this awning.

Calculate the SFD of the cantilever beam given the following FBD:
Cantilever FBD
Cantilever FBD

Where: F = [math]R_{Ay}[/math] 245.25N, [math]R_{Ax}[/math] = 0N and [math]M_A[/math] = -981Nm.
F is located at a point 5 metres from the left hand side and 1 metre from the right side of the beam.

Force analysis (Brick Holder)
This simple tool uses the principle of friction to allow a person to carry many bricks with ease. This question analyses the forces on the different parts of the tool and using the equations of static equilibrium resolves forces to calculate the minimum load that can be carried.

Shear Force Diagram of a Simply Supported Beam
Given the free body diagram of a simply supported beam with point forces applied to it, we are going to calculate and draw a shear force diagram of it. Which can aid in stress analysis.
