# Shear Force Diagram of a Simply Supported Beam

In a previous question found here: Reaction forces on a simply supported beam We calculated the reaction forces at each of the supports of the simply supported beam in the diagram below:

From the other question, we know that the reaction force at the left support in the y direction is 3.25kN upwards and in the x direction, the reaction force is 0N. We also previously calculated the reaction force at the right support in the y direction to be 0.75kN upwards.

The beam is 4 metres long with the 5kN force 1m from the left side and the 1kN force in the center of the beam.

Using this information calculate and draw the shear force diagram (SFD) of the beam
